Godma Helen, thank you for buying me this big fuzzy doggie chair. I can't quite sit in it yet, but it is so-o-o comfortable leaning on it and having a good time with my friends here.

What a nice surprise! Grandma's friends from Houston sent me this beautiful diaper cake. I also love the cute lovely snowman grandauntie Linda got for me.
Don't I look great in this picture?

A smile is hard to catch. Grandma is trying out the new camera Daddy & Mommy bought her.

Nice lunch we enjoyed at the Carltun restaurant in Eisenhower Park.

12/12/05 Chris actually had to come to wake Becky up to finish packing and get ready to go to the airport around 10:30 am Nicole was crying and feeling upset. However, she managed to eat a few pieces of the apple that I offered her. Then Becky and I fought to clean her butt and put on her clothes. Debbie called to let us know she was coming over to have them bring something back for Stephen. She arrived in time just before they had to leave. I could not go to the airport with them because they had to put the stroller in the seat.
I spent the rest of the days cleaning up and putting things back to order.
12/13/05 When I finally got up and went downstairs, I was surprised to see Alvin home, because he was supposed to be back at work. He had stomach problem after breakfast so he headed back home to work at home instead.
I started cooking the ground turkey for spagetti since the meat was defrosted for two days already. Also I had to use up the tomatoes that Debbie bought. They looked like they were turning bad soon. As I was cutting up the vegetables to make the dieting soup, I started getting sick. I felt worse and worse, so finally I had to quit and ran upstairs to lie down.
After a short rest, I felt a little better. For the rest of the day, all I managed to do was finish cooking the spagetti and the soup.
12/14 Wednesday
Ivy had called me on Monday to see if we could go out for lunch at the Eisenhower Park on Wednesday. I told her I would let her know Tuesday night if we could go, however, she had already made the reservation before I had the chance to let her know I wasn't feeling well. So off we went with Jenny and baby. Baby Daniel kept sleeping, so we were able to enjoy a wonderful lunch together, even though I had to try eating as little as possible.
12/13-12/16 For three long days, I was suffering from diarrhea and tummyaches. I felt hungry and weak, but I did not know what I could eat to stop the diarrhea. In fact, I hardly felt like getting up Friday morning. It was 10:45 am when I finally managed to open my eyes and took a look at the clock! Just then, I heard Jenny talking to someone downstairs. Oh dear, I just remembered that she had mentioned to me her father would come this morning to see if he could fix the heater for me. Ah, how embrassing! The only one time I woke up late it had to be the date somebody want to check on my room's heater.
Jenny's friend came to visit with her Baby for one night. They ordered pizza for dinner. I felt a little dizzy after working with the computer, so I went to bed early. Baby Daniel was still up and crying at around 1:00am, so I got up to help putting him to sleep. He was very agitated because they wanted him to learn crying himself to sleep. I think the longer he cried, the harder it was for him to calm down and go to sleep because he was so afraid to even close his eyes.
12/17 Saturday Thank god I began feeling better today. I took care of baby when Jenny and Alvin went out shopping for new tablecloth. Whenever I got the chance, I couldn't stop myself from watching the Korean Soaps that Daniel bought for me from Houston. I am afraid I would soon finish watching all of them.
12/18 Sunday
I got up and dressed, all set to go to church by myself. Surprisingly, Alvin said he and Jenny would go to the one in Flushing. Last week, I offered to take care of the baby so they could go to church, but Jenny thought that would upset Baby's feeding schedule and preferred to stay home, so I presumed that they are not interested in going this week as well. Anyway, I was happy that they were willing to go. After church, they shopped for some Chinese vegetables. They even bought me my favorite dessert and also a vietnamese sandwich.
This evening, the Lins would come for dinner so they could celebrate birthdays together. In the afternoon, Jenny and Alvin went out to get a cake. I was preparing soup when Jenny's Pa & Ma arrived. Other food I did not have to worry, because Eric & Shannon would take care of it by ordering food to go. We had a lot of food, including Chinese dishes, dumpings as well as Sushi. It was a great meal, but it cost quite a bit over $120.00
12/19 Monday
Linda called yesterday to let me know she would come to visit us this morning. Our original plan was to go to Costco to shop for our turkey, so I told her I would give her a call when we get home. However, we decided that it would be better to buy the turkey one or two days later since it only takes about 4 days to defrost it. Around 10:00am I started calling Linda, I called, I called but I got no answer.Close to Noon time, I still couldn't get hold of her. I tried to call Andrew Ho to see if he has Linda's cell phone no. I had to call many times too, because I understand it is hard for him to get to the phone. Finally, I left a message and he managed to call me back. I took the opportunity to tell him that this Wednesday I would be free because Jenny would take Baby to her Office Christmas Party, so if I could get a ride I would like to visit him & Susan that day. He said he would check with Susan and he gave me the phone number that I need. Would you believe it, I still get no answer calling her cell phone. I was about to give up when she finally returned my call and told me she was home all morning. For real ??? Anyway, I had Jenny give her direction to get to our place. She ended up showing at our neighbor's house because Jenny told her ours is a yellow house, whereas next door's is actually much yellower. She bought Baby Daniel a very cute snowman. We then decided to have lunch somewhere close by. Jenny took us to an Italian Restaurant. Baby Daniel behaved very well again. So we ate peacefully.
12/20 Tuesday
The strike began today, so Alvin had to stay home and worked at home instead. Some routes are blocked and some freeways only allowed cars with 4 people. The ban was lifted after 11:00am. So Jenny had no problem driving to Matthatan to see her doctor. She bent over the crib too hard and hurt herself. We thought she better let the doctor checked it out since she still felt the pain after a week. Doctor said it was bone bruise and it would heal by itself.
This afternoon, Jenny got news that their Christmas party was cancelled due to the strike. So now I did not know what to do about my visit to the Ho's tommorrow. I tried to call Susan on her cell phone, but I got no answer. I guessed I had no choice but to do as planned. When Susan called in the evening to let me know she would pick me up at 9:00am to go to her fellowship. I told her about my situation and suggested perhaps we better met some other time. She agreed that being close to Christmas it would be better for us to wait till next Wednesday or Thursday. I knew I couldn't escape from this visit, but now at least I might get time to buy something for them when I go to their dinner. I felt relieved.
12/21 Wednesday
Alvin was still working at home today. The strike was still going on. Jenny and I got the opportunity to go to Costco to get our turkey, while I hurriedly get whatever Christmas presents I need for the people here. Going round and round to look for what we want, I actually was beginning to get dizzy. As Jenny was waiting for the pizza, I got the key from her and head out first to get some fresh cold air. After we got home, I spent the afternoon to finally get my blog up-dated. Ha, Ha!
