Moments to Treasure

I spent time trimming all the shrubs and pulling all the weeds. Now the landscape looks more in order. It is looking pretty as the flowers have started blooming.

3/9/07 Friday Jason's 1st birthday.

Jason woke up around 7:00am today feeling much better. His energy and appetite returned. He took his milk and even baby food. Thank God for restoring his health. Now I could go home in peace, not to have to worry about him. Becky and Nicole went to MOPS the whole morning. I gave Jason a bath. He slept really good after that. This evening, Becky had an engagement with the ladies of her marriage group in a restaurant. Hope the kids would not give me a hard time going to bed.

Here is Jason on his birthday.

Here is a tiny birthday cake for you, kiddo.

"This cake is mine!"

"How do I look?"

NICOLE MADE HISTORY TODAY !

Becky has been toilet-training Nicole all these time since December, rewarding her with Horlick's candies stickers. Each time when Nicole managed to pee in her little toilet, Becky would give her a star. When she got 5 stars, Becky would reward her with a new puzzle, and if she ever poop in the toilet, she will get a crown sticker and a bigger prize. Occasionally, Nicole would tell us that she wanted to pee, but most of the time we had to coax her to try using the toilet. Sometimes she had to sit on the toilet for a while before she could pee, but sometimes she could take off her pants and diaper, got to the toilet and pee all by herself. So now she has no trouble using the toilet to pee, but she could never poop. However, she finally did it for the first time today. We were all very happy about it. Nicole gained her crown sticker and her special prize. Hope she would soon be diaper free.

Little Jason on the offensive

Look how Jason attacked Jeh Jeh right on the face to get Nicole out of the car.

The mighty winner took possession of the vehicle.

No wonder Nicole wears a shirt that says my brother drives me banana.

Nicole turns out to be a very sweet big sister.

Getting in and out of the car all by himself.

Squeezing through the opening to get out of his barricade.

Mommy thinks Jason has learned kissing, but Po Po said he is actually biting. What do you think?

Jason knows how to climb up the stairs.

Jason practising driving.

Climbing up the little slide.

No doubt, pretty soon he will start walking.

Nicole's fun times and bad times with brother Jason

This time they were really having a good time together playing with just a plastic container.

They always enjoy playing with Daddy.

This time Nicole was trying to hide from Jason while screaming,"Jason is going to grab me!"

It seemed they both enjoyed playing together at the Mall's playground.

Jason's First Birthday Party

Jason's first birthday party was held at the Garfield Park. Mommy had decorated the place beautifully. First Daddy led us in prayer.
Then the party began. Nicole was not interested in any food. She was a little under the weather, throwing up everything last night.

Here is a picture showing part of the decoration Becky prepared for this special occasion.

At this end of the table we had the gigantic and most sweet strawberries fresh from the farm. There were also the chicken salad, soy beans, Mah Mah's noodles and chicken nuggets.

At the other end stood Po Po's fried rice, not bad looking, eh? Besides that, we also had chicken terriyaki, Korean short ribs and Japanese Udon noodles. Everything was fantastic.

Peggy and Patrick at the party.

At this table we had Uncle Stephen's family. Mee Suk Suk and Auntie Sue helped babysit Nicole and Jason while Po Po was working on the fried rice. Sarah, Stephanie and their boyfriends lent us a great hand in moving all the presents to our cars at the end of the party.
