Monday was fun day for Ma & Pa

In the morning, Becky and Chris went to take the Camry to the Auto Shop, to see why we have trouble starting it. We went to Kidspace in the afternoon. Becky had to attend Women's Fellowship tonight, while Chris went for his basket ball game as usual. Becky ate a little before she left and Chris ate after his ball game. Around 7:00 pm, I decided to give Nicole a bath before putting her to bed. She cooperate quite well till I had to put on her diaper and pyjama. After a big fight and tearing up one diaper, I managed to put one on her. There were two pyjama on the bed, one yellow and one blue. She wriggled and struggled. Then she slipped off from the bed, with one strong pull, she dragged the new red pyjama from the hanger and only then she let me put it on for her. I was ready to put her in bed. She reminded me it was time to brush her teeth. She did that without any fuss and ran towards her bed on her own. What a nice surprise! I finally got her in her bed. Although she refused to lie down, I hurried out any way. After talking to herself for at least 10 to 15 minutes, she fell asleep at last. What a relief for Grandma.

Worship Day

Nicole woke up early. As I was feeding her breakfast, Chris came down from upstairs. It turned out he had to leave with Nicole first, because Becky was not ready. He took Nicole in one hand, and his guitar with the other, and carrying Nicole's diaper bag at the same time too. In a little while he called home. Guess what? Today we were supposed to change the time and we all forgot about it. Poor Chris should have one extra hour of sleep. Instead he had to carry Nicole to look for a place for breakfast, in order to kill off that extra hour.
Well, on the other hand, Becky and I had a nice day together without having to look after Nicole. After Sunday service, we went back home for lunch. Then we hit the mall to get party stuffs for her friend's baby shower and baby clothes for Alvin's newborn son, Baby D. Next we had to do some grocery shopping for vegetables and fruits. Soon it turned dark and we had to go to Grandma Kwan's place for dinner. After a quick meal, Chris went out with Scot and Hubert for a second round and we went home to put Nicole to bed.

Quiet Time

Having some quiet time with Grandma this Saturday morning!

Saturday Afternoon

This afternoon, Becky and Chris had to attend May's wedding, so I was left with Nicole. She had a nice nap. We played a little bit and before long Daddy and Mommy were home to pick her up for a visit at Grandma Kwan's place. So I had the evening all by myself. That would be a good opportunity for me to start watching the DVDs I brought here. While I was enjoying the second one, Maria called. We had a long talk. I did not press pause and the DVD kept running. I missed a lot. So I had to start watching the second DVD right from the beginning again, as I was not familiar with all the commands yet. Both Mandarin and Cantonese sound track came out at the same time, what could I do? By the time I had to start the third DVD, nothing came on. I tried again and again. No luck. So I tried DVD #4 instead, still nothing works. By this time, they all returned home. So I left the computer for Chris to unfreeze it and turned in for the night.

Having a good time after a nice nap!

A pretty picture was hard to take, grandma had to be quick.
Nicole looking more pretty than scary.

Second Day's Activities

What was meant to be a fun day for us turned out to be quite stressful! We took Nicole to the mall for pictures, but she melted down wanting to play with the carousel & the train & wanting to walk on her own! So, we had to work really hard to get this photo, amidst temper tantrums & tears!

Nicole loves riding the train with Mommy
Not a bad picture, right?

Afternoon Activities at Kidspace

What shall I play with first?

Becky's Evening Adventure

After playing piano at the wedding rehearsal, Becky got rear-ended on the way back home. Unfortunately, the other car was a big, tall Chevrolet Suburban.
Fortunately, I was able to watch Nicole at home, so Chris could rush out to help Becky.
Poor brand-new Honda Odyssey! This is actually the second rear-end! Haven't even gotten the license plate yet!

First Day in LA

First day's activities - after a short time at the playground, Nicole made a craft at the library.
Studying the design...
How do you like my masterpiece?
