Days after the party
12/5/05 Auntie Amy left for Houston. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, the plane was delayed. She didn't get back till close to midnight. Becky & Mommy stayed up till 1:00 am working at the Christmas cards and waiting to see if Amy had arrived home safely. We appreciated Calvin picking her up at the airport this late at night.
12/6/05 We all spent the morning at home. Alvin & Jenny had to go out for alvin's eye doctor appointment. Daddy wanted a visit of the old Chinatown. He took the train to get there, but he did not return till passed 10:00 pm, because he ended up having dinner with Candy & Norman. When, where and how we had no idea. Mommy worked all day at the kitchen, she prepared a nice big pot of soup. Nobody had time to try it. However, we all did enjoy the shrimp at dinner.
12/7/05 We were supposed to meet with Debbie for lunch. In order to allow time for Nicole to have her lunch and be back in time for her afternoon nap, Daniel, Mommy and Becky went with Nicole to the restaurant first. We ordered noodle, barbarcue pork bun and beef meat ball for her. She did not eat much and became very fuzzy. So we decided Becky & I would take her home first. She slept for a long time, so alvin took a peep at her and found that she was awake but lying quietly in her crib. I thought that it was quite unusual of her. So I asked Becky to take her temperature. It was a little over 100 degree. No wonder we could tell it was not her usual self. So she had no appetite for dinner as we expected. Becky found out she had a little diarrhea also. Well, at least she sleept OK.
12/8/05 Nicole's temperature went down but she still had no appetite. She was irritable all the time. I sent Becky back to bed and offered to look after Nicole. We watched TV and even went out for a short walk. It was colder than I expected. As Nicole refused to put on her nice pink jacket, I had to hold her and run, holding the jacket over her back so she won't catch cold.
In the afternoon, Jenny and I took Baby D to his pediatrician for his check up. He was amazingly co-operative at the doctor's office. When doctor gave him the shots, he did not even cry much. As doctor said it is time to let him learn to sleep in his crib, Alvin and Jenny allowed him to cry himself to sleep in the crib. It wasn't easy listening to his cries, hopefully he will learn soon.
