Second Day in Venice

After breakfast we were all set to go out but was told there were no boat to take us to ST. Marco from Lido, because there was a strike. In that case, we thought we would take a bus tour around Lido Island instead, since we got the unlimited use day ticket. However, when we got to the water bus station, we found out they were operating as usual. So we took the water bus to cross over to the main Island.

The first thing we did was to look for a Police station to report Richard's loss of his wallet. Then we bought tickets to visit the museums. Each ticket costs 11.00 Euro, allowing us to visit all three museums. We decided to start with the Palace museum. The Interior of the Palace was not as beautiful and enchanting as those in Russia and France. After we completed the visit, we took a break for our lunch. Then we went over to the harbour because we wanted to take the grand canal ride through Venice. However, the place was almost empty because the people were on strike on this line. We had no choice but to turn to the next museum. After finishing the visit on this museum, we had to head back to the hotel, because our day ticket would expire at 4:00pm. After a short rest, we did go back to the same Chinese restaurant for a second meal.
