Visit to the Chinatown Library
Since today Nicole had no Preschool, we decided to go to the Chinatown Library to get some Chinese books for me to read. When we got there, we found out the Library is not opened until Noon on Thursdays. So we went to have our lunch first at the Empress Pavilion Restaurant. Nicole didn't eat much though. Next, we stopped by the Bakery shop to get some Chinese cake for Becky's MOP meeting tomorrow. I gave my camera to Becky so she could take pictures for Nicole in the children's area while I went in search of something interesting to read. There are lots and lots of Chinese books and reading materials in the Library, making it hard for me to choose. I had to hurry because Nicole needed to be changed again. So I checked out the five books that I picked.
Once we got home, Becky hurried to put Nicole down for her nap. I was in the kitchen when I heard something fell. It was Becky's purse falling off the top of the storage box. Alas, unfortunately it hit the top of Nicole's big toy car. When I wanted to use the camera again, I was shocked to see something looking odd on the screen. We could not see any of the pictures that were taken. We realized then that the screen must be broken. Both Becky and I felt so-o-o bad. That's the only expensive present I ever got and now I had to part with it and send it all the way to Connecticut for repair. :( :( :(
