Three-day Mahjong Camp
On Friday, BaBa, Ma and John got up late becuse we played mahjong till almost 2:00am last night. We ate dim sum bought by Chris for lunch. Too tired to go anywhere, Dad and John went back to sleep. Baba's stomach bothered him last night, he did not have a good night sleep.
Becky and Chris had to go to the Couples Fellowship tonight, so I took care of Nicole and put her to bed. Surprisingly, she cooperated with me very well. So it did not take long for us to get settle down with our mahjong game.
Becky did not feel so well on Saturday, so she stayed behind and let Chris go with Nicole to the birthday party. We talked Becky into going out to dim sum lunch with us. After lunch, we went to the Chinese market to get some peanut and fruits. John found out crabs for sale at a very, very low price - $1.99/lb. So we bought four home and had an enjoyable meal. Becky and Chris had a dinner engagement for hotpot dinner with friends. After Nicole went to sleep, we went right back to our mahjong game. I was losing big time and soon I lost interest. When they returned with their friend, I asked their friend to play for me. Then Chris took over when he left. Around midnight, I asked them to quit because Chris had to lead worship the next day. John was the big winner tonight and he really had fun winning big again and again.
We went to different church for Sunday service. I attended the Cantonese service as usual with Nicole's Mama. Baba, Ma and John went to the Catholic church in Chinatown. I was supposed to give them a call when service was over. Unfortunately, it was then I found out my phone was completely dead because of low battery. I did not even have John's or Becky's cell phone number, I was lost for a moment as to what to do. Finally, I decided to go to look for Becky before their service started. Luckily, she has John's cellphone number in her Palm. I borrowed her phone and was able to get in touch with John and met with them later for lunch. We bought a few items in a bakery store, then we headed for home to start playing mahjong again. Boy, we never had so much free time to play nonstop like this and it was fun. Nicole had to go to another birthday party again today. After she returned home, even though we were playing, she did not come to bother us at all. When Chris told her it was time to go to bed, she ran directly upstairs right away. Before long, she went to sleep without making a sound. How amazing!
