Nicole going out for a haircut.
Nicole woke up at 8:30am this morning, a little later than usual. She co-operated quite well with me getting dressed and settling down for breakfast. However, she refused to eat the noodle I made for her lunch. I hurried to switch her lunch to rice. Still not much luck. I let Becky saw to it that she ate something and then put her to nap.
We made an appointment to cut her hair at 3:30 pm, so after she woke up from her nap, we started to get ready to allow her time to play a little bit first in the hair salon's play area before sitting her down for the haircut. She used to scream and kick every time she had a haircut. However, today she did a good job of cooperating with the hairdresser. It did not take too long to finish and Nicole looked much better now.
After a visit to Macy to get birthday presents for Nicole's friends, we took Nicole to the Portery Barn Kidstore to play with the children's household items, dishes, pots and pans, stove and refrigerator and even children size vacuum cleaner. Nicole had a lot of fun, except she hasn't learned to share. A boy was playing at the stove. Nicole came and took over the kitchen. The poor boy asked politely "May I play with you?" Nicole instantly yelled, "NO, it's mine."
The poor boy was so shocked that he cried. I felt really bad, so I tried to confort him by saying,"Oh, sorry. This is the only word she knows."
