Bajah Mexican Cruise 5/2/02

Due to the extra low price on this 4-day cruise, a total of 130 people signed up with Yolanda. Unfortunately Sue could not come with us because her mother had a stroke, so she flew back home two days ago. Richard and Barbara came to pick us up. The ride to the Terminal was smooth. Boarding started at 11:30am. It did not get us long to go through boarding procedure and inspection. After checking into our cabins, we headed straight for the Buffet up on Deck 11.

Day 1 Monday
The Monarch of the Sea set off at 5:30pm. We ran into David and Yolanda as well as Christie and Paul at the emergency drill. After that, we went back to Deck 11 for our afternoon tea. Daniel did not join us. He preferred to watch TV in his cabin. Dinner was held at 5:30 pm. We sat with David and Yolanda at the same table with another couple, Dee and Louis. Dee is the daughter of Daniel's high school Math teacher. Stephen supposed was seated at our next table with four old ladies. We asked the waiter to have him joined our table instead. After dinner, we rested a little bit. At 8:45pm, we attended tonight's entertainment, featuring a lousy commedian. We were kind of disappointed at the show. Before retiring to our cabin, we all went up to Deck 11 again for something to drink. Though we were still quite full, we went ahead to try out their pizza and kiwi. Then we all went happily to sleep.
